Deidre Hamilton has over 40 years of experience including 10 years with the County of Santa Cruz Planning Department.
She was a principal with Hamilton Swift and Associates Before Starting Hamilton Land Planning in September, 2016.
She excells at successfully moving projects through the complex permitting process.
She worked for the County of Santa Cruz Planning Department for over 10 years. Prior to that she worked for the U.S. Census Bureau and both the City and County of San Diego. Deidre has a degree in Urban and Rural Studies from UC, San Diego.
Deidre was recently appointed to be a
member of the Downtown Commission for
the City of Santa Cruz.
Deidre believes strongly in community support and service. In addition to financial contributions to various organizations, she has also served on the board of many organizations such as Kuumbwa Jazz Center (current President), Community Foundation of Santa Cruz County, (past president and honorary trustee), YWCA (past president), Cultural Council, Dominican Hospital Community Advisory Board, and Women in Philanthropy for United Way. In 2016, the United Way honored Deidre as a Community Hero for her work, support and contributions to Jazz Education in Santa Cruz County. Deidre is also a member of the American Planning Association and the Santa Cruz Chamber of Commerce.
An AICP certified planner, Jennifer has worked in the planning field in Santa Cruz County for 10 years. With previous experience working with Hamilton Swift & Associates, Jennifer has extensive knowledge working with residential and commercial development, specializing in coastal properties, vacation rentals, and environmental restorations throughout the Monterey and San Francisco Bay areas. As an Associate Planner, Jennifer’s foremost goals are implementing collaborative projects that provide lasting personal value and enjoyment for clients.
Jennifer is also a licensed Realtor® who enjoys travel, snowboarding and hiking with her family in her free time.
Amy is the part time office manager for Hamilton Land Planning. She was formerly the office manager for Hamilton Swift and Associates for over 13 years. Prior to that she was the office assistant for a local architect. She is familiar with planning related processes and personnel. She has a B.S. degree from Santa Clara University.
